That's right, try to click "View" with those powerpoints with photos embedded, and notice them in true 256 colour wonder! with those erroneous colour pixels everywhere, like if you converted 32 bit JPEGs to GIFs.
And all since 2009 or earlier!
It's 2012 Google, how much longer will you take to address this? In fact, you tried to, in 2009, when I filed a bug report about it. I'm still waiting...
Hurry up google, preferably before GIFs become trendy again.

P.S. Happens to me with different PCs, browsers and google accounts (and all the .PPT with photos in them), so don't even try to suggest that the fault is on my end.Pedronoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18157064.post-15997447354926036322009-11-15T19:16:10.185-08:002009-11-15T19:16:10.185-08:00wait how do i get this powerpont thing i need it f...wait how do i get this powerpont thing i need it for a school project asapAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18157064.post-38514546175594702822009-01-18T13:37:00.000-08:002009-01-18T13:37:00.000-08:00it sucks, because for some reason I don't get the ...it sucks, because for some reason I don't get the download link, i don't want to watch it as a slideshow or as html, i just want to download itAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18157064.post-36547646480469156582008-09-15T01:41:00.000-07:002008-09-15T01:41:00.000-07:00dead againdead againAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18157064.post-11466036449247038472008-05-25T15:05:00.000-07:002008-05-25T15:05:00.000-07:00Google disabled it for a month but its working aga...Google disabled it for a month but its working again. It even loads faster than PowerPoint 2007, but it also lacks the nice slide sorter from PowerPoint (view all the slides in one screen) or a search feature.

The coolest feature should be embedding but that doesn't seem to work.Alex Chituhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02618542750965508582noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18157064.post-38274118412306839762007-05-16T12:11:00.000-07:002007-05-16T12:11:00.000-07:00For me, the link appears only for .ppt files, not ...For me, the link appears only for .ppt files, not for .pps.
The flash slide show looks really cool, definitely better than the "view as HTML" option.
And it also loads faster compared to downloading and opening the file through PowerPoint!George B. The results are surprisingly GOOD -- translation is quite good on text-based presentations (as long as you aren't straying too close to the edge of the page in the original PPT file). Noticed more screen anomolies in the PPT file with the most charts and graphics -- lack of transparency, text overrunning container graphics, etc. But overall, not bad -- very handy functionality to have in Gmail.drakushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11087068957678535422noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18157064.post-41216465976803258482007-05-16T06:41:00.000-07:002007-05-16T06:41:00.000-07:00Cool, I have the "View as slideshow" link.Cool, I have the "View as slideshow" link.Dylanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07897458253389725833noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18157064.post-36862434132114770862007-05-16T06:38:00.000-07:002007-05-16T06:38:00.000-07:00Unfortunately neither way works for me.Unfortunately neither way works for me.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
