Now for inter-browser applications, only Xmarks was wonderful, which is going to be closed in Jan11. I need such a tool. For Internet Explorer, there is similar sync operation using Windows LIve mesh. First it's Firefox's terrible memory leaking that forced me to look at Chrome, now it's this braindead lack of synchronization between Chrome and its maker's services. If you're trying to convince anyone that your "cloud computing" is worth anything Google, you're not doing a good job of it. Maybe I'll just go back to IE, where at least the Google toolbar works, and I don't have to periodically restart the browser because of browser-slowing memory leaks.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18157064.post-4474981179676446262010-07-02T09:40:47.909-07:002010-07-02T09:40:47.909-07:00Why do I have to use the Google Toolbar to import ...Why do I have to use the Google Toolbar to import bookmarks? I am using ...I have a suggestion for this feature. I am using the chrome bookmark sync feature and I use chrome at two locations - home and work. Suppose I have a bookmark "X" at home, when I go to work it will be added to the browser at work, if not already exists. Now, I renamed "X" to "Y" in the computer at work. When I get home, instead of having X being renamed to Y as well (intuitive result of synchronization), I have both bookmark X and Y. And I have to remember to delete X at home, for otherwise the next day I go to work, both X and Y appears at work! This is pretty inconvenient.

In short, the sync should honor deletion and modification to the bookmarks in stead of just adding what's missing all the time.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
