But the beauty of a book--as opposed to a database--lies in its browsability, which Google seems not to understand. Searching within the book is awkward, as the box is remote and be default contains the original title. All in all, it's distressing that an important initiative so loudly trumpeted has such a dismal design.Paul Glassmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03000828017561644705noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18157064.post-29903222164728651172012-08-31T03:29:54.696-07:002012-08-31T03:29:54.696-07:00This bothered me enough to make me write a small G...This bothered me enough to make me write a small Greasemonkey script to fix the full-screen button on google books.

http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/137380
http://shitikanth.wordpress.com/2012/06/30/google-books-fullscreen-preview/

Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02730238326397013041noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18157064.post-48982207740229236392011-10-02T14:47:04.558-07:002011-10-02T14:47:04.558-07:00Sadly this waste of vertical space has yet to be c...Sadly this waste of vertical space has yet to be corrected. The fact that you can even read any content in 800x600 should be considered a bonus. Most websites these days assume at least 940 pixels width, as the minimum screen resolution around is probably 1024x768. I run a website targeted at non-techies and 800x600 accounts for about 0.5% of my visitors and is the minimum resolution detectedAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02945533935825604613noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18157064.post-10783762891205621652011-07-29T22:14:18.249-07:002011-07-29T22:14:18.249-07:00You are right Alex. People won't spend their time reading books on the desktop, they'll use this plataform for buying and organizing their books.

People will read on tablets, and we need to take a look at the reading ease at this plataform.
