Three things in particular is almost completely destroying my usage of it:
1) the downloaded html version is now broken, I have to edit it extensively by hand before I am able to use it
2) I can no longer get the wide view, but have to use a narrow version with lots of wasted space on the sides. It makes it much more difficult to work
3) Various stats and such is now gone

Yes, I know I can get the old version docs through a link, but I have to use that each time, it cannot be set permanently - and the downloaded html is still screwed up for that one now!

Now there is also the new collections/overview of all you docs - yes you can temporarily go back, but you need to click 'old version' every time you open it! Why can't you just leave an option for letting me chose what I want to use?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18157064.post-2768626827131911672011-02-04T06:52:26.153-08:002011-02-04T06:52:26.153-08:00there are some nice additions here, i was look for...there are some nice additions here, i was look forward to Docs upgrades, would like to see more on mobile thoughagricultural consultancyhttp://www.reagroup.ie/martin_and_rea.htmlnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18157064.post-26072846249526348132011-02-03T07:24:33.068-08:002011-02-03T07:24:33.068-08:00Speedo

Is this a bug? Given that there is a "priority" option you'd think that sorting by title really means . . .by title.

Anyone had the same on their Gdocs listings?Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00217252507006990058noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18157064.post-80648865544395017882011-02-03T06:13:26.710-08:002011-02-03T06:13:26.710-08:00I think it's decent, but it is going to take s...I think it's decent, but it is going to take some time to get used to. We use google docs heavily at our company and are electing for the old version.

For starters, there's now a huge gaping waste of space in the middle, instead of using this space for columns showing file details. Three MAJOR losses in functionality from this:

1 - used to be able to glance down and get a birds-eye view of most recent edited docs, who is working on what and when. As CEO (30 staff all using it), this was a great feature that is now lost.

2 - can no longer do something as simple as sort by title descending, for example our transaction list (scanned invoices/etc) starts at 0 and goes up, can no longer sort by the latest transactions (which is not necessarily last modified).

3 - can't get rid of that waste of space on the right side (preview/details column) - ok if it could be minimized, otherwise i really don't see how this helps.

And "collections"? Do they expect us to start calling them collections? Are you kidding me? Are they targeting an office environment?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18157064.post-75472888206012479202011-02-01T02:23:29.787-08:002011-02-01T02:23:29.787-08:00Just to add. they can easily fix my main concerns ...Just to add. they can easily fix my main concerns by allowing users to decide what info is displayed in all that white space.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18157064.post-36874810356594003932011-02-01T02:22:13.633-08:002011-02-01T02:22:13.633-08:00While its a refreshing look in some aspects it als...While its a refreshing look in some aspects it also displays the inconsistency within google. I dont want to have to select a file to see all that info. I share files within my company and need to see quickly if the latest update is my own or which users it is.
