GCalSync is a Java application that can be installed on your mobile phone and allows you to synchronize your phone's calendar with Google Calendar.
Supported phones: BlackBerry, Nokia (6230i, 6680, N70 and others), Motorola (A780, A45, E1000), Sony Ericsson (K750, W800, Z520 and others).
I tried it with my Sony Ericsson K750i, but it couldn't connect to google.com. Does it work on your mobile phone?
Update: There's a new version of GCalSync and the application is now open-source.
I hope soon somebody will create tool like this for PocketPC :-)
ReplyDeleteI would much rather have a Windows application running on my laptop to do this. I'm currently automatically synchronizing between Outlook and my Nokia 6630, and it works great.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know a Windows application which would sit in the background and syncronize Google Calendar over Bluetooth?

hm.. I tried this app out tonight on my Nokia 6682 with no luck. I'm a cingular user in the US though, perhaps there are some limitations.
ReplyDeletedidn't work on my nokia n80 running S60 3rd edition.

Sony Ericsson P910i - not supported
ReplyDeleteDoesn't seem to work on my Nokia 6230i yet. I've e-mailed the developer about it. Does anyone know of a desktop application that syncs Google Calendar with my mobile phone?
ReplyDeleteIt does not work on my SE M600i. I get a IllegalArgumentException

It works fine on my SE W810i...
ReplyDeleteBut GCalendar still have that "only
shows the main calendar on feeds" problem...
It would be intersting if the PC Suite
synchronize directly with Google "apps",
like gmail contacts, calendar, etc...
I'm almost installing Outlook just to
use as a bridge.. :(

It didn't work on my samsung d500, received but couldn't accept the license agreement, and stopped from there. Now I find the site is off-line, no content/app or anything to use. Makes me wonder what it was all about in the first place.
ReplyDeleteThe project page from SourceForge is still live.

I got further when I downloaded and install certificates for java onto my k750i. Then it seemed to work but after uploading the events aren't there on the google calander site.
ReplyDeleteA pain and a shame!
Works on SE K800i, but I had to manually download the jar, and put it on the phone by USB. I think that's because Vodafone Live blocks a port or something (don't know). But synch works fine.
ReplyDeletewww.goosync.com is free and works with almost any device!
ReplyDeleteMyPhoneExplorer is the best solution I've found for SonyEricsson phones - it doesn't have the limitations on the number of calendars you can download that Goosync.com has, and it's been completely reliable, as well as having lots of features. I can't recommend it highly enough. Windows only, unfortunately, as it doesn't work with Wine and crashes the virtual Windows installation that I run using Innotek VirtualBox. It will work over Bluetooth as well - it just needs a virtual COM port to talk to. Oh, and it's free, though I'd encourage you to donate if you use it regularly, as I have.
ReplyDeleteTotally agree with fotherington. "MyPhoneExplorer" is the best you can get. And it is free! I took me 3 mins to download it, install, and Sync my GoogleCalendar into my Sony Ericsson K850i ! Just AMAZING!
ReplyDeleteI'm also looking for a program, that can sync my google calendar with a Nokia n73 by USB or bluetooth.
ReplyDeleteI don't want to pay the online rates for mobile internet, and I can't se whay I should have to install a calendar program like Outlook first.
Is there a symbian friendly program?

Sync mobile calendar with google over SyncML (which most phones today have). It is free and it is very simple to use: http://www.syncme.se/
ReplyDeleteGoogle Sync with SyncML worked perfectly to sync contact from Nokia N70 to google, and then back onto Sony Ericsson K850i !
ReplyDeleteThanks!
