We don't care about the Google Talk gadget, we care about the desktop client, and we care about AIM interoperability.

Dude, Google needs to move their ass.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18157064.post-88804259740992388162007-05-27T04:02:00.000-07:002007-05-27T04:02:00.000-07:00For me GTalk is easiest messenger to use. GoogleTalk's main problem is connecting with other clients, most people don't want a Google account, mainly because they require an invite and are not the most popular things at the moment. If GoogleTalk connects with other clients, it means it is an alternative to your favourite client.

However I don't know what Google are going to do about Yahoo! and MSN Messenger, because their protocols are totally different. In order to succeed they need to think about connecting with these huge giants in Instant Messaging.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18157064.post-1168781424048728322007-01-14T05:30:00.000-08:002007-01-14T05:30:00.000-08:00Oh!, thank you Jake.Oh!, thank you Jake.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18157064.post-1168731798844688832007-01-13T15:43:00.000-08:002007-01-13T15:43:00.000-08:00actually, you can already do this with a little cu...actually, you can already do this with a little customization
go to this link
follow the directions, and you can talk with almost anyone from any service, including yahoo, msn, AIM, ICQ, and IRC
it says to use "ursine.ca" in the instructions, though
that didn't work for me, so i ended up using "jabber.3gnt.org"
there are more choices for jabber servers hereAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18157064.post-1168717059943183272007-01-13T11:37:00.000-08:002007-01-13T11:37:00.000-08:00Yus, and yahoo, skype..etc if possible too.Yus, and yahoo, skype..etc if possible too.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18157064.post-1168695873169113562007-01-13T05:44:00.000-08:002007-01-13T05:44:00.000-08:00that's good to hear... now if only they'd do the s...that's good to hear... now if only they'd do the same with msn, then it'd be gold.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
