This website survives by running Google Ads, yet denounces ads in Gmail, which is a very good free service.

Instead why don't you advocate a subscription-based Gmail where you would pay $50-$100 a year for an ad-free version of Gmail?

Google is a technology company supported by advertising. The products you are using are not created for nothing. Google has to pay all the overhead. They are a great company because not only are they in it to make money for the shareholders, but they are also in it to push the limits of technology, while employing a lot of happy people.

These small ads don't bother me in any way whatsoever.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14796610060223100958noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18157064.post-59029302461982329352010-11-26T07:18:20.192-08:002010-11-26T07:18:20.192-08:00How do we disable the ad in the upper right hand c...How do we disable the ad in the upper right hand corner on this website? I'm not big on RSS, as I like going to sites, but decided to add some Google blogs RSS to Gmail's Web Clip; however, most of the content there is adverts.

I pointed out the problem using Google Feedback, and made a suggestion, like adding a visual cue when a feed is updated, but nothing has come of it, either people don't mind it or just don't use Web Clips -- I think it's the latter.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18157064.post-13791652004700914492010-11-24T14:59:23.745-08:002010-11-24T14:59:23.745-08:00I seem to be having this experience a lot recently...I seem to be having this experience a lot recently, myself. I'm amused that mine seem to lack the web site links (maybe it's because of AdBlock or my hosts file).

How did you learn about the issue?
