For example, after getting the directions from Mountain View to Palo Alto, I could change the route to pass through Stanford.
Another way to create complex routes is to add destinations in the sidebar and use drag and drop to change their order.
{ Thanks, Chris. }
If only the GPS in my car worked this well.
ReplyDeletewow, I'm totally blown away by this! now I can finally customize my biking routes!
ReplyDeleteHope that road maps are also available on major cities of Philippines
ReplyDeleteCool feature
ReplyDeleteWOW! This is the coolest feature ever. I seriously blown away. NICE!
ReplyDeletewhen are they going to do the for the mobile version
ReplyDeleteboss! Good find!
ReplyDeleteDouggie - check out google maps pedometer (search for it - you'll find it) to map your own routes point by point. Works great where Google doesn't have roads.
ReplyDeletecomment on my own comment - I use it for mapping runs through a big park where there are paths, not roads.
ReplyDeleteoh... come on.... please...
ReplyDeletethis is just a quick and easy way to add stops along your route, with live previews
wonder what this feature will do to Google's servers, it uses bandwidth to move the line while dragging and generate a new route
How can you delete a section of the route? I seem to keep creating u-turns & other crazy circular routes.
ReplyDeleteMaps is not smart enough.. and you can't ....grrrr...after dragging the blue line a few times, I have a route that looks like a big lump of tangled spaghetti
ReplyDeleteorder of the route keeps going back even if i change it several times... ugh
ReplyDeleteImpossible to use, maps used to be cool, but it overrides everything, scrolls all over.
ReplyDeleteHere is an example of being able to use an old fashioned input device such as keyboard in addition to the pointer drag thing would be a great addition.
