The "I'm Feeling Lucky" button from Google's homepage is no longer useful when Google Instant is enabled. When you click the button, Google usually sends you to the doodle gallery, but now the button is more special.
Mouse over the "I'm Feeling Lucky" button and you'll see one of these labels: "I'm Feeling Puzzled", "I'm Feeling Artistic", "I'm Feeling Playful", "I'm Feeling Hungry", "I'm Feeling Wonderful", "I'm Feeling Stellar", "I'm Feeling Trendy", "I'm Feeling Doodly". Each button sends you to a different Google site, so you can explore Google Trends, the Google Art Project, the World Wonders Project and more.

Google is the biggest site on the internet, and so there are many new keywords that arise each and every day, so it is impossible to keep updating.

They took it away from me as I don't click. I type part of the name as little as posible to get to the site. then arrow down to complet the word or phrase, 2 "tabs" and a space bar. well now that does not work anymore at all!
ReplyDeletewow.. i hope this is temporary.. i also use the tab, tab, space method.
ReplyDeleteI don't see that at all. Perhaps you have to be using Chrome? I'm not.
ReplyDeleteI see it on Google dot COM site, but NOT the dot CA (Canada) site. I was using FireFox.
DeleteI couldn’t get this option to appear on the Google.com.au site, but it worked fine on the main Google.com domain.I’d expect the change to eventually hit the local site as well. I guess this counts as a Google easter egg (and partly makes up for all the Google Instant search bomb tricks that no longer work).
ReplyDeletehow wonderfully whimsical!
ReplyDeleteWhy not just get rid of the button no one i know uses it anyway
ReplyDeleteCalling this an Easter Egg is a bit of a stretch, isn't it? Hover over the button and the text changes, wow, discovered an Easter Egg !
ReplyDeleteAgreed its a bit of a stretch..but enjoy the changes before it vanishes.
ReplyDeleteThe changes made to 'I'm feeling Lucky' button are not visible in Google.co.in. But when i changes it to Google.com i could see it
ReplyDeleteI wish Google implement these changes to regional Google searches also. So that when i click "I'm feeling Hungry" i get a list of all 'dial-for-food" links or some quick recipe links... Just a thought.
Wow. I didn't know that. THanks.
ReplyDeleteI like how you tried to sneak in a link to your site by making the . at the end a link. Lucking they add the nofollow tag to comment links so you don't get any SEO from this.
DeleteIf you have a comment to make, make it, but there's no need to spam the comments, no matter how sneaky it may seem.
Noooooooo!
ReplyDeleteTrick to try another Google interface test
ReplyDeleteWhen I hover over it, it spins too fast for me to stop it on the option tht I want. Is there a way to slow it down, or click through them one at a time?
ReplyDeleteNot useful! They should instead improve the design of google.com google.com/news and play.google.com. That would be useful!!
ReplyDeletegoogle is always try some think new good work google

ReplyDeleteI'm using Google's Chrome browser, but when I click in the search area to type something to search for, Google takes me to another search page, with only the main search button available. I cannot stay on the page with both buttons. What's up with that? As I type, search suggestions start coming up. It's highly annoying!
