Search results pages don't include the menu, so you can no longer open Gmail from a search page and you have to go back to the Google homepage first. The search box has been shrinked, there's a bigger Google logo and the links to specialized search engines are displayed below the search box, just like in the tablet interface.

Have you seen that you can swipe left-right the bar of "Webs Images News" ?

Not working / Debugging is needed?
ReplyDeleteI am using google search on my phone (Android, Bionic) as most of us, many times a day, love google + its major apps (Maps, Drive, google + etc).
However - I am afraid this is the first time I have encountered such an issue with a google product: this interface needs debug and fast:
Edit a pre-typed search subject is not accessible (an attempt to revisit subject line after first search run is not working - ending in activating images or other)
1. typing a search subject
2. click on search mag glass symbol(harder than before due to size changes)
3. Try and revisit the search line in order to optimize / change my search (common need)- can't get there more than 80% of the time.
4. most of the time: activating images / other apps instead. seems like a matter of pixel calibration
Please allow to opt out of this new interface, until it fits (perfectly) all phones and tablets, as the older interface.

Where did slide out option choice of narrowing search by country? I am now getting search results based in USA even though I am Canadian. Used to give option from left side when u tapped slide out menu to choose results from Canada. Why if I search for example a plumber would u want USA results? Answer? I don't. Hate this constant change for so frequently disallowing us time to adjust.
