Some can argue that Google.com is very well known, so it's not necessary to bookmark it. Usually the philosophy behind bookmarking is "this site seems useful for me, I'll probably use it later".
Gmail and Writely are the most popular Google services (they're still way behind search, even though not in this ranking). Google Reader's ranking is surprising and that means its redesign was pretty successful.
Not yet in the top 10, but pretty close: Blog Search, Sketchup, Book Search, Page Creator, Google Moon, and Spreadsheets.
WOW, i am genuinely shocked at how many Writely has!
ReplyDeleteI never thought it was that popular!
Thats excellent news!
Awesome to see Reader AND Labs on there as well!
The redesign for Reader was pretty good and great to see that it has actually shown some success.
I just wonder if Google will ever decide to switch to the new Video view thats similar to Youtubes flow.
Google should have a page with their most used services.
And links to all the services for each heading so people can quickly go to something not used as much to see what its about.
Hey i think most of these "bookmarks" on del.ico.us happen when there is some *news* about the website and people link to eg. writely.com directly for others to c. A story entitled "Google Reader updated its interface" and linking directly to google.com/reader would make its ranking in ur list higher.
ReplyDeleteMaybe. There are a lot of news related to Google Earth and there aren't too many bookmarks for GE.
