FeedBurner FeedFlare for Blogger Comments
Now that FeedBurner is owned by Google, it makes sense to integrate with other Google services. One of the most requested features, a FeedFlare that shows the number of comments for each post from a Blogger blog, has been recently added. The FeedFlare links to Blogger's (ugly) comments page so you can easily add a comment if you read the post in a feed reader. Note that the comment feed has to be enabled in Blogger's settings page.

Some of the official Google blogs have already enabled that few days or weeks ago.

ReplyDeletethis feedflare worked fine for me until last week when it suddenly stopped working. i did not uncheck the feedflare but i have had many troubles with getting ti to work in the past. for the number of people that have this problem you would think a solution would be available.

ReplyDeleteThe feedflare works for me and I don't see how this proves that Google acts in its own interest. There's also a feedflare for WordPress and FeedBurner has an API that lets you create your own feedflare.
ReplyDeleteAlex_Chitu, I just now subscribed to your BlogSpot's feed and did not see the Comments Count there. Did you turn it off? I ask because the Count Comment FeedFlare does not work for my Blogger/BlogSpot either, and I would love to get insight from someone for whom it works.
ReplyDeleteNever mind my Oct. 21 comment. The Comments Count suddenly started working on my feeds yesterday morning. This involved no change on my part and, in my search for a solution, I read that many other people had problems with the BlogSpot's Comment Count FeedFlare, so I guess that it just was not working between Oct. 2009 and now. Hurray that it is back! :-)
