nice to know, this thing with is:spam...a long time ago i wish to mark new spam mails as read...
When you click "Next Step", a message pops up saying:Warning: Filter searches containing "label:", "in:", or "is:" criteria are not recommended, as these criteria will never match incoming mail. Do you still want to continue to the next step?Just FYI, you should click OK because it works even though the error message says it won't.
Excellent tip! Thanks for sharing.
That is perfect. Thanks.
Great, is:spam seems to be working great in my gmail filer.I tried it for my Yahoo! email as no one furnishes more dam spam then they do!!!Unfortunately is:spam doesn't work there. Anyone have a fix?Thanx, Vince
Love this feature. Thanks for the tip.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!! Gmail's spam filter is nearly flawless for me. Now I can just automatically send the junk to trash and let Gmail empty it for me in 30 days.Vince, rather than moving your spam to trash, you can just set Yahoo to empty spam immediately. (I would choose that option in Gmail if it were an option.) Under the Spam section in Mail Options:Control SpamGuard: Make sure the check box next to "Automatically send suspected spam to my Spam folder" is clicked.Empty Spam folder: Choose "Immediately"
Thanks alot. Worked like a charm! For some reason in the last month, I'm getting more and more spam in gmail. This somewhat fixes that.
This seems not to work with the very latest version of Gmail. Why are they so determined to make me see my spam???
I don't think there's any change in the way filters are handled.
Oh yea. That worked great. My Yahoo mail blocked all spam, but I really hated the animated crap to the side. Now, with this "is:spam" trick, I don't have to watch the counter. And I don't need to go to trash anyway, because its "trash". Perfect.
Great to know. Thank you!
Handy fix, saves me from deleting it everytime i check my inbox..knowing that spams there :) thanks
Excellent tip, thank you!
I'm gonna do this right now!!
No more counting how much spam is in my Gmail! Thanks for the tip!
Great tip! It's so elegantly simple! I came in search of this when I found that I had exactly 666 spam messages...
Thanks, you're awesome ... worked like a charm. Thank you for the very clear cut directions :)
I really didn't like seeing all those spam emails.I have 10971 spams now, and it empties each month, YIKES! I think that's about 2 weeks worth. I you could just invent a tracker/virus to kill only the spammers computers, you could sell a ton of them.Getting rid of spammers off the net would be great!
What is the procedure in android system?
