Forward Conversations in Gmail

Message grouping is one of the best features of Google's webmail application. Until now, you could print an entire conversion, expand all the messages, but you had to forward each message individually. Now you can just click on "Forward all" in the right sidebar.

This option creates a new message that contains:
* the subject of the first message from the conversation
* all the messages from the conversation in chronological order, without quoted text
* all the attachments

This is useful if you want to send someone an exchange of emails.

  2. I cannot find this feature in my Gmail page: is it just in the English version?

  3. You are my Google Guru. So please, do not take offense at this question. How do you configure gmail to take you back to the inbox after you hit send instead of leaving you pointlessly in the conversation?

  4. Still not available for me. Maybe not fully update yet. Wow lot of changes to Gmail now. We are near to out of Beta.

  5. Well, the feature works like a charm, creating a thread transcript in one message. Well done, except a small bug - it adds the forwarded message to the threads and marks it as unread. Can't get the reason.

  6. You can even delete single message from the conversation. I don't know if its a old feature but its an important one.

  7. The 'Forward all' facility is good, but doesn't answer my problem. I need to duplicate a lot of received e-mails from my late daughter's Gmail account to my account so that I can preserve them and use them in dealing with her estate. I can't find a way to move a whole batch of conversations at once, only one at a time. Since there is a large number of messages and conversations, to copy them individually will take a long time. Is there any kind of 'batch forward' facility available?

  8. Hello!

    Thanks for the tip. I was wondering how to do this, didn't have the patience to figure it out myself and went googling. And, voila! I found you. :)

  10. Is there way to reorder the conversation so the most recent email is on top?

  11. This "Forward all" button only shows up for me when you open an entire conversation in a separate window. It isn't present in the main Gmail window.

  12. I am having a problem with this. I use the "forward all" but it only sends 25 messages. I have 80 in the convo...

    Anyone know how to get around this? Or am I doing something wrong?
