Google started to display a thumbnail in the Product Search OneBox, as you can see by searching for [
usb flash]. The image illustrates the top search result, but links to the list of results. As part of the Universal Search, this OneBox can be displayed at the top of the search results page or at the bottom of the page, depending on its relevance to the query.
Another change is that the OneBox
groups identical tech products and shows a range of prices. For queries that include clustered listings, Google no longer shows a link that restricts the results to products that can be bought using Google Checkout.
Here's an old screenshot of the Froogle/Product Search OneBox:
Am I the only who uses Googles "Shopping list" Previously when searching for a product you could hit add to my shopping list. Now with this bundled view (which is awesome otherwise I have to say) you can't "add to shopping list". Which in turn means you can't add to wishlist
ReplyDeleteI know! This is a real nuissance. Why isn't anyone else saying anything about this on the web?
ReplyDeleteYou have to get out of grid view to add to shopping list. Click on "Show list view" and you'll see it.
ReplyDeletehow to show the products on google shopping ?
ReplyDeleteanyone know it ?
please kindly to contact me ....
Many thanks
you've also got to be using google.com (rather than say google.co.uk) for it to appear I've found...
ReplyDeleteWhen will google.co.uk add "Show only: Accepts Google Checkout / Free shipping" check boxes and add to shopping list, AND when will they acquire shop savvey to link it all with price alerts on my G1. There is a chance it may infringe on some EU competition regulations, but frankly, I want it ...now already.

I have a similar question to Chen. How do you get your products into the shopping results. I see some ebay listings in there and am not sure if this requires an ebay store or if you can do it via an auction. Also, if you do have a regular website do you need to use google checkout or a specific shopping cart to be listed?
