Find YouTube Playlists

The option to find playlists is back at YouTube. Playlists are a great way to group related videos which can be later played one after another.

YouTube shows three popular videos from each playlist and it lets you restrict the results to a certain category, like Education, Music or Sports.

Creating a playlist is easy and, by default, each playlist is public and can be embedded in a web page. Instead of posting 3 or 4 related YouTube videos, create a playlist and use the code provided by YouTube to add it to your web page: you'll include a single player and the visitors will only need to click on the "play" button once.

  1. I object to having one of my videos followed by a competitor's video.

How do I remove my videos from such play lists?

  9. YouTube has a channel I would recommend called PlaylistHQ. PlaylistHQ is a recently developed yet ingenious site, powered by Songkick, that allows users to create YouTube and Spotify playlists while also finding nearby concerts. Songkick is a website that provides news about live music and concert schedules. Songkick scans its members Itunes library to determine what artists and types of music the user prefers, and then generates a list of upcoming concerts in the user's area.
Simply choose a location, select a concert, and the site generates an entire playlist for you. Not only does this save time, but it introduces listeners to great songs they may never have even heard. PlaylistHQ has the potential to expand artists' audiences as well as their listeners' music libraries.
