When you include your date of birth on your Google profile, you may notice a special treat on the Google homepage on your birthday (be sure to sign in). Click on the doodle for another birthday surprise," informs the Google blog.
To change your birthday, go to your profile, click on "Edit profile" and select the "Contact info" tab. The tab lets you enter some information that can be shared with your contacts.

ReplyDeleteWe have had this feature on our intranet for a couple of years now - baloons with birthday greetings popping up on the front page. The reaction among the employees are like on this page, some think it's fun and others think it's waste of time. We have the possbility to choose "I don't want a birthday greeting"...

ReplyDeleteI used to be a member of a few forums who sent you an email on your birthday if you'd given that information to them. Given these were smallish forums by internet standards, it was quite friendly really.
