The unified help center available at http://www.google.com/support lets you search across all the help information provided by Google. This could also be useful if you want to find something related to more than one service.
Behind the scenes, Google uses a custom search engine that includes 218 URL patterns. Google automatically creates an iGoogle gadget for the custom search engine so you can search directly from iGoogle.
Google has become more transparent and most services have lists of known issues and suggestions.
