Response Summary for Google Forms

Google Docs experiments with automatically generating response summaries for forms. If you edit a form and click on "View responses", Google shows charts for questions with multiple choices and lists the first answers for free-style questions.


The summaries are pretty basic but they reveal more information than the raw data. Hopefully, until the feature is officially launched, Google will make the summaries interactive and customizable and users will be able to publish them.

    Wow, great, I'm there on your screenshot. :)

    Although you didn't provide any link to the form I googled it... and found it, of course, and found out that I'm probably the coolest guy on Earth, because I was really fast answering the poll and the only one among more than 800 who mentioned OneBox! This is quite a feat when you live in a small country like Portugal and when you're 46! ;)

    I have never used Google docs, is it worth? I also have a slow internet connection.

    Why don't you have a feature that aggregates "NUMBERS"?!?! It's frustrating... c'mon google. Great idea, but missing a major feature. Until then I'll stick with excel

    For some reason, even after I clean my Google Forms in the Spreadsheet, the Response Summary continues to display entries that have been removed.

    Same for me. Has anyone managed to solve this problem ?

    Does anybody know when the summary is updated ? Only when people post an answer or also periodically ?

    I have the same problem. It seems the summary data is separate from the spreadsheet: it appears to be updated each time a form is submitted, not when the spreadsheet is updated. Once a response is recorded in the summary, there is no way for the user to change it. I couldn't find any way to access it.

    You have to delete the rows for the responses to go away completely.
