Smooth Scrolling in Google Reader
Google Reader's settings page has a new section where you'll find "experiments you can choose to opt-in and try out". It's like a small Google Reader Labs that only has a single experiment you can enable: smooth scrolling. This feature makes the transition between items smoother and it's especially useful in the expanded view.

Still don't get what that rather dowdy ball is good for.
ReplyDeleteThe release that added the colorful loading indicator also added the gear menu with a density control (in the style of Gmail's and Docs').

ReplyDeleteArtical is 3 hours old? Been using smooth scroll for over 10 hours now. Surely announcements are meant to come before or even at the same time as things appearing? Not after?

ReplyDeleteAm I the only one that saw scrolling performance get worse when this feature was enabled?
ReplyDeleteIt seems like the scroller blocks whenever the browser has anything else to do.
