Picasa Goes International

Picasa, Google's photo viewer and editor, and Picasa Web Albums are now localized in 18 languages and have more international support. Here's the list of languages: English-UK, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Dutch, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Swedish, Finish, Danish, Norwegian, Polish, Turkish.

Picasa Web Albums lets you upgrade your storage even if you don't live in the US. Unfortunately, the checkout screens are in English and US dollars, but that should change.

  2. Too bad they dont accept PayPal yet.
For now, Y! Photos Beta is a ultimate winner with no limitation on storage & b/w - yes, Picasaweb's photo views are far better than Y!'s, but with the current low-budget digicams at 6-10 megapixels, with each photo is taking 2.5MB to 5MB, 250MB free storage is totally useless - ppl who will be forced to use Y! Photos.

  3. Yahoo Photos seems to be better, but has a HUGE catch: you can only download photos individually, not entire albums like in Picasa Web Albums. Yahoo Photos is mostly useful if you want to print photos.
