Google Music's source code includes a few references to some new features. There's a Music Labs page that will probably include new ways to organize and visualize your songs. "Google Play music player labs is a testing ground for experimental features that aren't quite ready for primetime. They may change, break, or disappear at any time." For now, this section
is empty.
Right now, you can only upload songs using the Music Manager software, but that may change in the future. There's
a new page for uploading music.
Another new section called "
history" could show a list of songs you've recently played.
Google Music could also add a roulette view and some charts for visualizing how often you play certain songs.

DeleteWhy would it be illegal? You may break Google Music's terms of use (I'm not sure about that), but you're only streaming the music you've uploaded. That's like uploading some files to Google Docs and using a browser to open them.

That clause does not stop US residents using Google Play while they are outside the United States. But taken literally, it would prohibit a non-US resident using it while they are actually IN the United States. I don't understand why they have this silly geographical restriction, particularly from a company that has done so much to break down international boundaries in the past.

ReplyDeleteOn that note, it's kinda lame you can only download a song twice from the web interface. I mean, it's my music Google.
I'm sure that most of the limitations from Google Music are requested by music labels. Since you've uploaded the songs, you should be able to download them as many times you want, listen to them from multiple devices at the same time and maybe even share them with your friends.

I love Google Music too! I just wish they would integrate podcasts into the system, seems like a no brainer and would make Play Music a serious competitor to iTunes.

Please enable when you add a song to a playlist that it doesn't automatically appear at the bottom of the playlist. Dragging it to the top in its current incarnation is tedious!

Then I realized that it was a good way to see what others were saying about you on youtube. Many people now are able to post videos that promote or criticize a brand, and brand conscious companies should do their best to track what others are saying. From there, they can either take the video down or post a reply video in response.html5 video player

ReplyDeleteSometimes it seems like that uploading version on the Android app is uploading wrong, and won't play right. I need a way to re-upload a song when this happens....it would be better than google just trying to play it, getting to a certain point in the song, and then skipping to the next.
